This blog is intended as an informal outlet for the opinions, concerns and musings the Technical Director of LIXI Ltd. This role is currently held by Barry Thomas (in fact to date it's always been held by Barry Thomas, all the way back to LIXI's founding in 2000).
Hopefully the posts in this blog will be interesting enough to elicit some comments from the wider LIXI community, and may even lead to some full-on arguments if we're lucky. LIXI's many successes make it a world leader in e-commerce standards development and an undoubted driver of innovation - but it faces many challenges. Ultimately the point of this blog is to discuss these challenges and, with luck, to come up with some solutions.
Warning: If you have stumbled on this blog by accident there's a good chance it won't make any sense to you. Here's a quick test. Read this sentence - "E-commerce standards for the Australian mortgage lending industry have been and continue to be developed with the goal of enabling the holy grail of Straight Through Processing." If you read the whole thing without yawning you might actually be at the right place after all. But I'd hazard a guess you don't have much luck with the opposite sex.
